Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

TL;DR. Be cool, ride safe, and don't post anything illegal, hateful, or dangerous. RideLink is a community tool provided as-is — you're responsible for your own riding and safety. Break the rules and we can remove your content or block you.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RideLink — the website at ridelinkmaps.com and the RideLink mobile app — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use RideLink.

2. Eligibility

RideLink isn't directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use it. If you're under the age of majority, use it with a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Your account & identity

The web map uses an anonymous device ID — no password. The mobile app may offer a quick email sign-up. You're responsible for activity that happens under your device/account and for keeping your device secure. Don't impersonate others or claim to be RideLink staff.

4. Acceptable use

5. Your content

You own what you post (markers, rideouts, messages, feedback). By posting, you grant RideLink a license to display and distribute it within the service so other riders can see it. Posted text is screened by an automated safety filter, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms.

6. Rideouts, location & safety

RideLink shows community-reported rideouts, locations, and alerts. This information is user-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are solely responsible for your own riding, route choices, and safety. Always obey traffic laws, wear a helmet, and ride within your ability. RideLink is not a navigation or emergency service.

7. Notifications & email

If you opt in, RideLink may send browser/app notifications and emails about your rideouts (for example, when a rideout is scheduled). You can turn these off in your settings or device at any time.

8. Disclaimers

RideLink is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideLink and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on user-generated content.

10. Termination

We may remove content or restrict access if you break these Terms or put others at risk. You can stop using RideLink at any time and clear your data from your browser/app.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the date above and announced in the in-app changelog. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
