Data Deletion Request

Short version. You can delete local website data from your browser, delete mobile app data from the app settings when signed in, or email RideLink for help deleting account-linked records from Supabase.
Delete data from the RideLink mobile app
- Open RideLink on your phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose the account/data deletion option if it is available in your installed version.
- Confirm deletion. This removes account-linked profile records, posts, messages, rideout attendance records, uploaded media owned by the account, and authentication data where supported.
If your installed version does not show the deletion option, email app.ridelink@gmail.com from the email address used for your RideLink account with the subject RideLink data deletion.
Delete data from ridelinkmaps.com
The website map can be used without a traditional account. It stores an anonymous browser/device ID in local storage so the map knows which markers are yours.
- To delete local website data, clear site data for ridelinkmaps.com in your browser settings.
- To request deletion of server-side website rows tied to your browser ID, email us from the device/browser that made the posts if possible.
- Include your RideLink username or any marker/post details that help identify the data.
What gets deleted
- Profile/account records tied to your verified app account.
- Posts, comments, direct messages, community membership records, rideout attendance records, and feedback posts where they are tied to your account.
- Uploaded media stored under your user ID where technically available.
- Website map markers or feedback rows we can reasonably identify as yours.
What may be retained
- Security, abuse-prevention, and database provider logs retained by infrastructure providers for a limited time.
- Aggregated counts that no longer identify you.
- Records we are required to keep for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.
Response time
We try to respond within 7 days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law or needed to verify the request.
