Texas residents (and all users) may opt out of the sale and sharing of their personal information as defined by applicable law. RideLink Maps uses Google AdSense, which may share browsing data to deliver targeted advertising. You can opt out of this below.
Note: opting out of personalized advertising means ads may still appear, but they will be less relevant to you. It also reduces our ability to generate ad revenue, which helps keep RideLink Maps free and running.
Opt out of third-party personalized advertising
When you use RideLink Maps, Google AdSense may receive data about your browsing activity (such as pages visited and interactions) to serve personalized ads. Under Texas and other state privacy laws, this can constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Toggling this off instructs us to signal Google not to use your data for personalized advertising.
Your opt-out preference is stored in your browser's local storage. It is valid as long as that data persists. If you clear your browser data or use a different browser or device, you will need to set your preference again.
If your browser blocks cookies or local storage, your opt-out may not be effective. Visit this page periodically to review or update your settings.
Even after opting out, we may still deliver contextual advertising (ads based on the current page content, not your personal profile), use data for analytics, measurement, and attribution, and share limited information with service providers for fraud prevention and aggregate statistics.
